We will normally look for a background in banking, insurance, accountancy or another related financial field. But we will also consider professionals from other industries who have built up an understanding of finance – either personally or professionally.
Our business is all about contacts
Another reason we look for experienced business people is that they have the network of contacts already in place to succeed. Our business is all about contacts and relationships built on trust and respect. These relationships cannot be established over night: they take time and effort.
An established network of contacts within your own territory is crucial, as you will primarily generate your own leads. These could be business contacts, community contacts plus family and friends. For this reason, we will not consider people who have newly moved into an area and so haven't had time to develop such a network.
